ABOUT

The Annual Woodinville Turkey Trot has become a mainstay to Woodinville families and runners throughout the Seattle area. Thanksgiving is the largest running day of the year and is a time when families come together to reunite at the start of the holiday season. 

While the specifics of the event continue to change, our focus on Family, Fun and Community remain the key tenants of the event. Starting off with Woodinville HS Drum Line, the event begins with a parade that involves all participants. You are not only watching the parade, but you are also the parade. Next up is the Kids Dash which gets our young ones introduced to running events and the best photo opportunity of the day. Participants enjoy the cheers of the crowd and a finishers medal.

The 5K “main event” is for the serious runners as well as walkers and strollers. With top collegiate runners covering the course in sub 6-minute pace, runners and walkers cover the course from their PR to over an hour.  A great family outing kicks off Thanksgiving with a healthy start before families gather for the day. 

SPONSORSHIP

Sponsorship is a key element of the event, helping local charities reach their fundraising goals. The Woodinville Wrestling and Cross-Country Boosters are the beneficiaries of this year’s event and 100% of monies they raise go directly to their organization.  This unique model allows the 501c3 to focus on the fundraising and marketing without having to be burdened with the logistics and expense of putting on the event. Teams of volunteers are heavily involved race morning and play many key roles in ensuring a successful, safe and fun filled event.
