Freebird is a year round Wrestling club team based in Woodinville WA. Practice times will be available 3 times per week, giving wrestlers flexibility in their training schedule. Attendance on all three days is not required, but we recommend coming at least 2 days per week to build consistency and maximize skill development.

This Fall season starts Monday, September 14 and runs through November 15 for high school wrestlers, wrapping up before the high school season begins. Registration is $200. Middle school and elementary wrestlers (ages 6-14) register separately; their season runs through January 15. Our head coach this season is John Lockhart. We routinely have guest coaches participate so that the kids learn a diverse collection of techniques and styles. Any technique camps, planned by Freebird, will be included in this registration fee.

All wrestlers need a USA Wrestling athlete membership by the first day of practice. For the fall season a LIMITED FOLKSTYLE membership is enough; a FULL ATHLETE membership will be needed for the spring freestyle season, and there are upgrade options to pay the difference. Tentative Schedule:

When? Practice is Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday, 6:30-8:00 PM (pending final school district approval of the gym). The complete schedule will be available on Team Snap and all registrants will receive a Team Snap invite.

Where? Practice locations vary but we are almost always at Leota Middle School (aux gym).
